[The Sinner’s Prayer] Acts 2:21 “And it shall come to pass that everyone who calls upon the name of the LORD shall be saved” When the Lord put the JoySoul Connection Planner and Devotional on my heart he told me, “I want you to make a planner for my distracted chosen. They need me in their life, they have important plans that need to be fulfilled. They need to be reminded of the great love I have for them and the special purpose I have for their lives, right now. At this very moment, where I have them planted is no accident.” I’m going to drop some tough love truth on you and please know this is coming from a heart of love for those that the Lord is calling to read this. The Lord can’t be in the background of your life if you expect him to work in your life…. meditate on that for a second. You must be in tune with him to recognize his voice. This Planner will help you build this habit of growing in relationship with God, by giving him the first fruits of your time, giving him permission to work in your life, and trusting him with all the details. Today I encourage you to pray the Prayer below: “Have mercy on me, O God, according to Your unfailing love according to Your great compassion blot out my transgressions. Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin. For I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me. Against You have I sinned and done what's evil in Your sight, so that You're proved right when You speak and justified when You judge. Surely, I've been a sinner from birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me. Cleanse me with hyssop, and I'll be clean, wash me, and I'll be whiter than snow. Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from Your presence or take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation and grant me a willing spirit to sustain me. Then will I teach transgressors Your ways, and sinners will turn back to You. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen. You were made on purpose for his purposes” My Prayer for you is that this message reminded you of the call the Lord has for you. That he can and will use you where you are planted right now. I pray that you are filled with the Holy Spirit and remember to walk in step with the Lord every day. Trust him to carry you through the hard days and know that he doesn’t expect perfection; he just wants your heart.
God Loves You
God Chose You
You are His!
A Holy Spirit Transformed,
Faith Filled JoySoul!
“Don’t be afraid,” the prophet answered. “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, Lord, so that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. 2 Kings 6:16-17
You are a Warrior, a Holy Spirit Transformed, Faith Filled JoySoul!
As Christian women how we see the natural doesn’t represent what surrounds us in the Spiritual. When we arm ourselves every day with prayer, trust, and time in the Lord’s word we cover ourselves with Spiritual armor. The Holy Spirit's power is at work inside of you and you can trust in the Lord to get you through any situation. I love the story in 2 Kings 6: 8 - 24. This is a story about the unshakable faith and generosity of the Prophet Elisha. It also gives us an example of just how powerful trust and faith in the Lord can be in our own lives. In this story, the Syrian army was on the attack against Israel. Fortunately, Elisha listened to the Lord and was able to help the Israeli army escape the attacks. The Syrian King was outraged and thought there was a spy in his army telling the Israelites exactly how to escape their attacks. His army told them about Elisha and how he knew exactly what their plans were, and he was the one advising the King of Israel on how to escape from them. The King of Syria then ordered his men to capture Elisha and bring him back to him. When the army arrived at Elisha’s home, his servant was terrified, but Elisha prayed to the Lord that the Lord would open his Servant’s eyes so that he could see the thousands of Angels and Chariots that were there protecting them. As the Syrian army got closer, Elisha prayed for the Lord to blind their eyes, he then told them to follow him, and he would take them to the man they were looking for. He then let them to the King of Israel. When they arrived, he prayed that the Lord would remove the blindness from their eyes and when they could see they were quickly struck with fear as they knew the King of Israel would have them killed. The Israeli King then asked Elisha, “should I kill them?” And Elisha said no, give them food and drink, and then we will send them back to the King of Syria. So, the King did that and when the army was sent back the King of Syria decided to no longer attack Israel. This story made me think of a couple of takeaways in our own lives today. When you have Faith and Trust in the Lord, he will protect you and guide you. You will be able to see with faith-filled eyes and not be distracted by Fear. With that in mind, My Prayer for you is that you would face each new day with courage and faith because with the Power of the Holy Spirit in you can defeat any evil army that comes against you in Jesus' Name Amen!
